I for one dont know what to believe, however im anxious to gather some facts, i.e planet nibiru is a real planet/meteor.
Does anyone know something i dont?

Well the panic is definitely real. 2012 will be something like the 40th apocalypse I have lived through and I’m not all that old. There’s something definitely wrong when I have to go and look for the plural of apocalypse.

Nothing will happen. I’m sitting cozy at home knowing that 30% of the world is going insane because of this damned myth.

Apparently the Mayan calender ends in 2012, so a lot of people believe that is suppose to be the apocalypse. Well, so was 2000, because they said all the computers were going to restart, I for one don’t believe it, but hey, believe what you want, it’s your opinion not mine

No one really knows if it gonna end in 2012. We’ll just gonna have to wait for the year of 2012.And really its just like the other times when people say it was gonna end in other times.Plus did it end no. But for 2012 where just gonna sit and wait for it and we’ll know if it is gonna end in 2012.Well and i don’t think its gonna end. But yeah who really knows if it gonna end ? So we’ll just half to wait till 2012.

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!!!!! Just cause the mayan calendar finishes in 2012 doesn’t mean the world will end. Wasn’t there a big hype of the end of the world at year 2000? Many scientist believe the world won’t end in 2012. I do not believe the world will end in 2012. The mayans died out in B.C.E eras. They where wiped out, and yet they thought they would live till the end. Well that didn’t go as planned. The fact is, yes there is a freaking meteor coming towards earth. However the odds are 1 to 250 000 that we will be hit. Another fact Global warming was bull. The third and final fact the planets have indeed aligned many times over.

I’ve heard of the 2012 panic and the mayan calendar bit, but never nibiru.
The mayans never actually said that the world was going to end, they said there was going to be a “great change.” Actually they said we were going to reach our final stage of enlightenment.
The calendar ends, but it doesn’t end randomly during a year. Their calendar was drastically different from ours, and they stopped at the end of a cycle lasting ~26,000 years.

I remember reading somewhere that the Mayan calendar stops every something years and restarts. Kinda like marking the anniversary of when the world was created. So, 2012 is just really telling us it’s been this many years and this many cycles that the Earth has been alive.
And if you ask any of the Mayans about 2012, they’ll respond, “What the heck are you talking about?”. Well, as far as interviews with Mayans go. I think they’re more worried about the rain.
As for the whole Nibiru thing, I don’t believe it. It makes no sense for a planet/asteroid/whatever it is that’s been orbiting our solar system for thousands of years to suddenly appear just like that in 2012 without any notice or anything and kill us all. It’s just so nonsensical. Don’t you think astronomers would have spotted it by now? ‘Course.
And there’s the pole shifting and axis shifting. If you open up an Earth Science textbook to the astronomy section, you’ll see that there’s the theory that every 36 thousand years or so, the planet’s axis spins the other way. Oh, but it doesn’t do that suddenly! Of course not. Over those 36 thousand years, the degree of inclination of the axis is slowly moving in the other direction. And I guess with that, magnetic poles shift and all that jazz. It’s a natural process of Earth that takes so much time. People are just trying to find another excuse to run and panic and hide, especially in the state that our planet and economy is in. That’s why the media spread fear of the swine flu (and that’s not such a big deal either–I had it for two days and it’s NOT THAT BAD).
I remember though, all the predictions of when the world was going to end. 2000? It didn’t end. June 6th 2006? It didn’t end. Like a billion other times? The world didn’t end. People just like to panic and then say “Phew” when the world doesn’t end. Then make something up and panic all over again. It’s a circular way of thinking, and it will only stop when the world really does end or when all the humans die out.

im not saying i believe it, im just saying i wouldnt be surprised
and think about it like this, its just a date, its just what someone else ‘said’, when truly, the chances of 2012 happening on 2012, are just as likely as it happening today, tomorrow, or in a hundred million years
however the panic will be 100% real, watch out for people having sex on the street

The end of the world indeed!

If anyone thinks its going to end because the Mayans said so then you have nothing to worry about.
The Mayans did not actually predict or say in any way that the world would end on 21st December 2012. Their calender does end on that date but then it starts again. This calender is a long count calender and it obviously had to end sometime. It does start again the next day though. Think of it as a bit like our calender. It ends every year on the 31st December and then we start a new one. Its just like that with the Mayans only their calender lasted thousands of years instead of a year.
As for the other theories going round, it is meant to be the end of the world as we know it, not the actual end if anything happens. There is also meant to be galactic alignment in the Winter Solstice but if this did happen, it won’t do us any harm according to astronomers and scientists.
Hope this helps

Time line for the End-of-the-World:
1982: Jupiter Effect, March 10th, 1982.
1988: 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 88 (and On Borrowed Time both by: Edgar C. Whisenant 09-25-1932 – 05-16-2001).
1999: Nostradamus, In 1999 will come the Great King of Terror…
Again, 1999: Y-2K, 01-01-2000.
Just last year, 2008: The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) September of 2008 will open up a huge black hole that will swallow up the Universe…
Today: December 21, 2012…
Today: The December 21, 2012 End Times Date might be off by only a hundred years or so…
Don’t believe any of it! Nothing happened in 1982, 1988, 1999, 2000 or 2008. Nothing world-ending will happen in 2012 or even a hundred years after that. Doomsayers just love to start End Times rumors but guess what? They are NEVER right.
