Does the 2012 end of the world prophecy involve any sort of religious/spiritual related apocalypse?
(For the record, I don’t believe the world’s going to end in 2012 but I’m writing a post-apocalyptic story set 50 years after the 2012 doomsday…)

Do you believe that something (as in a disaster or something of that nature) will happen in 2012? Or do you think that it could just speak of an ending of one (how do I say it “phase” maybe?) of the earth and a beginning of a new chapter? I would like to believe that the earth will live on as I am particularly young and would like to experience life a bit more. but perhaps you could tell me a little of the theory’s and which one you put most stock into.
