My aunt and cousin and mom say its just a way to make money! my aunt says its nothing to it. she lets stuff like that just roll off her back she seems so confident that nothing will happen. I am usually never easily scred but this happens to have a really bad effect on my nerves. I could’ve swore i had an anexiety attack in wal-mart today. I can’t really sleep well. What should i do to distract myself from haing these horrible thoughts. Even NASA says its just a hoax and that nibiru is not real and that there is no galactic alignment but something is still bothering me!! i am still very much scared and i just want this fear to go away!

this is a copy of an answer to someone elses question…?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
Is the world really going to end in 2012?

The Answer is “NO”
we will only witness the Galactic Alignment of Our Planets
and Our Sun will going to enter the Black hole (Center of Galaxy)
to regain energy and reborn as a new star.
The event will trigger the next level of Human Evolutions.
It’s not the End of the World but it’s the Beginning of the New Age.

now my question is, if the sun is going into the black hole isnt it supposed to be gone forever? Because supposebly what goes into the black hole never comes back out right??

Any sites/blogs dealing with the non garbage aspects of the mayan calendar?

Question:
First let me explain:I dont believe the world will end in 2012 or any of that conciousness enlightment crap, galactic alignment or indeed planet X/Nibiru garbage.A while ago i encountered a blog which detailed each of the katun, baktun etc prophecies of the calendar and it was interesting and insightful into the culture as well as calender itself and recorded history so Im asking is their any sites/blogs you know that go into detail about each cycles “predictions” from an antropological point of view rather than a newagey garbage POV? Hopefully it might lead me back to that particular site

Why do people think that THEIR time is always the end?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
Someone posted, made me think of “Eve of Destruction” and it was written either in the ’60′s or ’70′s and their talking about the end. People talked about it before Y2K, now it’s 2012 and the Mayan Calendar and the Galactic Alignment. People have thought the end was coming even in Jesus’s time. They thought he was coming back in their lieftime. Another one that stands out is 1492. People thought that was the end because it was supposedily the 7,000th year of Creation. This is why Nostradomus is alive and well. He was vague and everyone applies it to THEMSELVES!

Galactic Center?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
Is it really true that our Solar Syatem will be travelling through the Galctic Center of the Milky Way on Dec. 21 , 2012? Is it true this alignment we will see on the winter solstice of 2012 is a once in 26,000 year event?

This is in reference to the Mayan End Date, and if all the hype is based on the fact that this event is actually about to take place in 5 1/2 years. So if anybody knows astronomy enough to say for sure if this is actually taking place , i’d very much appreciate it.
sorry for the typos, hurried too much!
I think the belief is that all the planets in our solar system and our Sun, form a straight line along the ecliptic with the center of the galaxy, is this true?

Hello Everyone…I wanted to ask (among many things) are there any here that are worried about 2012?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
I want to ASSURE you this is not going to happen. I also amazed how so many people are worried about 2012….and yes I can’t wait for the movie to…BUT please listen to me.The Long Count is just one of several calendars used by the Maya. It is a continuous record of days from the day the Maya gods created the Worshipful Man. The Maya creation myth explains the creation of the Universe – with the usual cast of gods and goddesses, along with a Plumed Serpent and a Flood. According to the legend, creation happened after Tepeu, the Sky God, and Gukumatz, the Plumed Serpent decided that they needed to be worshipped. (Why is it that gods are always so immature and insecure?)

It took the Maya Creation Gods several attempts to create beings who would worship them. First, they created animals who didn’t worship them, so they banished them to the forest. Next, they created Man out of mud, but soon they just washed away. (They were surprised by this?) Next, they created Man out of wood, but these wooden men weren’t too good at ‘worshipping’ so the Gods got angry and flooded the place to get rid of them.

Finally, Worshipful Man was made out of Maize and the Long Count began at 0.0.0.0.1 which was around August 12, 3114 BCE. The current Long Count will finish on 13.0.0.0.0 or about the 21st of December 2012 CE.

It’s Not the End of the World:

What the Ancient Maya Tell Us About 2012?

The date December 21st, 2012 also represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun.) This is an event that has been coming to alignment very slowly over thousands and thousands of years and will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT on 21 December 2012. By coincidence, the Maya Long count ends on or very near this same Winter Solstice, feeding the imagination of people who seem to think there’s some kind of ‘supernatural magic’ in the revolution of the Earth around the Sun. Some people have even taken this to mean that the world will end.

Listen…eat, drink and be marry, and most of ALL LOVE everyone, that is the most important!

You really own only one thing in this world….that’s your love you decide to give or withold from others…..stop worring and NEVER stop loving one another….that’s the BEST medicine!
oaky..the 1st 3 answers are good!

I have spoken to so many full-grown adults in the past year that really are worried about 2012…REALLY! so I did a little research to ASSURE them.

It’s (as the young people say) BOGUS!

Are some of you young people really worried about 2012?

Why are we so obsessed with WORLD END?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
(Pasted from a Google search)

With all prophecies that failed before, why is the Mayan calendar prediction attracting a growing following even in the scientific community? Is there something different about it?

Yes, according to experts.

John Major Jenkins says the Mayan lineage goes back to 2000 years. He argues that the ancient Maya “calendar priests” charted a 26,000-year astronomical cycle, called precession of the equinoxes, with the naked eye.

The 2012 end-date coincides with the “galactic alignment” of the winter solstice sun and the axis that modern astronomers draw to bisect the Milky Way, called the galactic equator.

Adrian Gilbert, in his book “The End of Time,” says, “Not only is the night of 21-22 December the longest in the year, but because of the precession of the equinoxes it corresponds with the day the sun stands exactly at one of the star-gate crossing-points of the elliptic with the median plane of the Milky Way.”

Gilbert names this position the “southern star gate—its counterpart, the northern star gate being placed exactly over the up stretched hand of Orion.”

Precession refers to the “slow movement of the axis of a spinning object around another axis.” Equinox is “the time the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of equal length.”

Gilbert says this means on Dec. 22, any person observing the sun will also be looking toward the core of the Milky Way, the place astronomers say has a black hole with a mass some three million times that of our sun.

Gilbert believes what was prophesied in the Book of Revelations is already happening, coinciding with the Mayan calendar. “This moment,” says Gilbert, “when the sun is located at the southern star gate and Orion, with its northern star gate, is dominant in the night sky, will signify the termination of the tribulation prophesied in the Book of Revelation and the true beginning of a new age.”

What do you think will happen on December 21st 2012?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
I know this question has been asked alot but it still looms heavily in my mind…

my theory is that, when the Earth is in alignment with the Galactic Center, it will be picking up a vibration from it that will transfer through it and into us. This will activate the unused part of our DNA that corresponds to the majority of our brains that we do not use. I think, then, all the filters on our perception will fall off and we will realize our true potential as gods. I think this will cause us to begin vibrating on a higher frequency causing us to shift into higher dimension. l think this will only happen for those who accept that the physical is not all there is. I think of the mind like a sail in this case that catches the very rare wind coming from the Galactic Center. The more open that sail is, the better you can ride the wind. So, unlike some people who detract the idea that there will be a mass awakening at this time, I think the responsibility is in each individual to spread their mind open as wide as possible in order to benefit from the new energies that will be radiating from outer space and the core of our own planet. I expect a lot of criticism due to my ideas being so unconventional. Know that I only go on my own intuition which has been very powerful at times. I never believe what people say unless I know for myself that it is true.
Davey – Yeah that reminds me of a guy named Terrence Mckenna

im not sure if I understand it fully, but he created a software that is essentially supposed to measure the ebb and flow of novelty from the birth of the universe up to the present day

aparrantly novelty reaches infinity on December 21st 2012

he reached this conclusion unaware of the Mayan end date

Is it true that sun is going at the center of Milky Way?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.

Question:
Here’s what is known: The ancient Mayan long-count calendar — a calendar that spans more than 5,000 years — comes to an end on Dec. 21, 2012. This coincides with a galactic alignment in which the sun will align with the center of the Milky Way galaxy, an event that occurs once every 26,000 years, which could have potentially catastrophic consequences. The galactic alignment has the potential to create a shift in the Earth’s poles, which would cause disastrous environmental events.
