Year 2012: End of the World

Question:
The disaster in my book revolves around december 21st 2012 and the galactic alignment. Something happens (that is unknown to humans) that causes a star to fly freely into our solar system, this star is a bit smaller than our sun. It stops (again space isn’t really known to humans) a million miles behind it. And since there is another sun in our neighborhood it throws our earth farther out in space… (about 1 million miles) away from those 2 suns. Mercury is demolished by the heat of the suns. Jupiter and Saturn collide. Uranus also collides into Neptune. Pluto is thrown into the coldest region of space and is even colder than it was before. Mars is a lot closer to us now that we can see a huge apparation of the red planet in our sky…but mars isn’t close enough that it effects our center of gravity. So the sudden force causes all the supervolcanoes in the world to erupt and cause a volcanic winter for 21 years.

Is all of this possible? cuz i dont want to make my book unbelievable.
IT doesn’t nessacarily have to revolve around december 21st 2012… it could be just another year.

Does anyone else out there believe this? If so WHY?

Are Aliens, the Mayans, god, galactic alignment, natural disaster are all coming to a cross point, a common ground?
Is there is a society out there composed of the most famous wel known scientists, leaders, psychics and famous people that all are secretively corresponding with each other and are on board to make the truth known world wide soon?
Is there someone who can say something new that would make this idea true.
Ranting gets you no where with me personally, but go ahead. the religous start quoting bible verses, the athiests think they know everything without knowing anything, lol and the normal blow joe just has to say something from nothing. Thats ok for you who dont believe. Preach away.
the sky is beautiful actually, part of God as it is, many colors, grey, blue, even red and purple at times.

I dont believe God has a ‘mind’ or a mouth.

Its has been so interesting to me that there is so many different ‘truths’ floating around that eventually i started to think a lot and i learned alot and now i want to discover a lot more of what is beyond what i have been brought up in all my life….
Gods the only one who knows? lol, thats wierd why would you think that? Wait- Cause the bible told you so….. ; )

Why is it that so many people take it for fact when a source says there is no science behind the 2012 doomsday prediction but then when another source shows the scientific explanations, such as the pole shift that will occur, or the galactic alignments that will will occur, or the increase in solar activity and destructive weather that is already occuring, they totally ignore it?
The Mayans were not Jungle nuts they were very advance, even more advanced than we are in some respects, and this is a perfect question for the religion section if you believe there will be end times why not in your life time?

Some believe it will be the end of humanity, some believe nothing will happen at all.
Will the galactic alignment cause the magnetic poles to reverse or will the Earth spin of it’s axis? or will the galactic alignment’s effect even be noticeable? Just how significant is the end of the Mayan calendar and at that, how accurate is it? Is it only a coincidence that the Mayan calendar just happens to end during the same day such a strange alignment is scheduled to occur?
I’m interested in hearing what everybody here thinks will happen. Honestly, I’ve been a little bit freaked out about it lately.
