I saw this mentioned on the History channel that the date it ends on is the 21st of December 2012, The exact same date the Mayan calendar. Also i heard in another question i posted on the topic that Prophets like Merlin and Nostradamus claimed 2012 to be the end. I have even heard that the world will end when a black pope/president is in charge ie obama is this just racial or the truth?

But what i find Really funny is that the director of the movie “2012″ openly admits that he believes none of it lol

I have a hard time believing the theory. But it is quite fascinating and some of its points are not hard to accept in principal. For example, the rate of novelty and complexity in the universe does seem to only increase.

Its also connects a bit with the concept of the Technological Singularity.

i find this theory fascinating, but i have no reference point as far as whether or not it gets taken seriously, if you’re not familiar with it, in the 70s, a botonist named Terrence Mckenna smoked some DMT in the amazonian rainforest, and a hallucinatory voice told him to investigate the I’ching. when he did, he found that if you apply a mandelbrot fractal equation to the iching hexagrams, a timewave that ends on dec 22 2012 (same day as mayan calendar ends) emerges.
