@cbeeber1
mayans never developed the wheel, nor forged metals, or developed gunpowder. if they could predict anything, the europeans wouldn’t have found their civilisation in ruins by aztec asswhoopin’ before they even landed.

@CarlosPQ737 No its not, its a quote from an editor of new scientist magazin.

including the location and color of the owners. The Hopi prophecies of the end of the 3rd (or 4th) world, The buddhist prediction that Buddhism would last until about 2000 years after Christ, the position of the pyramids and the sphinx looking toward the spring equinox and the age of Aquarius, as well as specific markings and encoded information inside the pyramid involving the different rooms.

Interestingly enough many, many traditions and religions are all pointing to this same exact period, St Malachy prophecied 112 popes until the coming of anti Christ, this old sick pope now, Gregory is the 111th. The Lakota Sioux prophecy of the white buffalo at the end of the age, just recently these purebred white buffalo females have been born, one having a white daughter which fulfilled the exact prophecy

and many have ended and began again, yet all thus ending and beginning was reaching towards a certain date and dates as obviously those changes of underworlds were signifigant as well. Nothing was said about the “end of the world” a phrase which probably sprang up out of confusion as to tge concept of “the end of time” which is theoretically possible and many have created models showing what that means.

It’s obvious these time periods are signifigant and they knew about them. Each age is an ascension and is a correlation of a move upward on the steps of the pyramid, although their time keeping covers all of time on the earth, and although the calendar doesn’t end, never in history have we reached the top of the pyramid of consciousness as we are now and will totally be in a couple years. They had sonething like 22 different calendars

The Maya were about time and consciousness, the 9 underworlds and the evolution of consciousness according to the “6 nights and 7 days of creation” within each underworld relate to stages of consciousness in the universe starting 16.4 billion years prior to 13.0.0.0.0, the 6th underworld being 3114 BC – 2012, the 7th being 1756-2012 8th being 1999-2012 and the 9th November 2011-December21, 2012. The 6th = Law, 7th= Mechanical, 8th = Global consciousness and 9th = Galactic consciousness.

@Jct876, cbeeber1
Why do people “debunk” things that aren’t even claimed? 2012 is the end of the long count calendar, there are specific predictions about dates after 13.0.0.0.0 which is 12/21/12 in the gregorian. Nowhere in Mayan literature or tradition is it stated that anything is happening because of an alignment, no “2012er” is basing anything off of these things like planet X or the alignment though sometimes that stuff gets thrown into tthe mix.

@jct876 The end of there calender is about transformation and renewal not the end of the world. If you are conscious enough to realize whats going on you will reconnect with your divine self and realize how special you truly are.

@DarthQuola That isnt a qoute from dawkins…

@cbeeber1 the only thing wrong with your statement my friend is that the mayans NEVER said the world would end on 2012, a former LSD user who thinks he is a reincarnated mayan priest said this and others have jumped on his band wagon, their calander starts over just like ours, THEY NEVER SAID THE WORLD WOULD END, 2012 is a pipe dream

Folks, this guy and a lot of you who posted comments applauding this guy are ignorant to think that you know more than an ancient civilization who never got one thing wrong. Google the name John Major Jenkins if you want some truth.

@evilwatermelon exactly. it is junk science. anyone with more than a 3rd grade level of knowledge of both science AND history could tell you this is bullcrap. if you are believing this AND have more than that education, either you have believed too much in something you may want to believe in, or you are just an idiot.
and Neil Tyson is awesome!! He is brilliant and is hilarious for a scientist. he is like the black bill nye of space.

“He is a person hired by the government as part of the disinformation act.”
Except that what he is saying is verifiable…
So unless you have evidence to disprove what he is saying, it really doesn’t matter who is paying him (although I think you’re completely wrong, paranoid, and infantile about the “disinformation act”).
