Critically examining the "End of the World"
explain a polar shift in layman’s terms…?
The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.
Question:
I’m trying to figure out exactly what a polar shift is, and what will happen during one?
the only articles I can find are on two ends of the spectrum.
One is from the “Doomsday” theorists who point to Merlin’s 2012 predictions (even though they don’t know if Merlin was a man or 3 men, and they claim he was born of a woman and a demon.) very reliable, and they point to nostradamus who never predicted 2012. (He said the world would end in 3979 or somewhere around there.)
then on the other end, there’s the scientists who write page after page, single spaced, smallest font possible, using big words in the most boring of fashions… and drawings that make no sense to a layman.
So who here can explain a polar shift?
What evidence is there that a Pole shift would cause mass world destruction, or that it would be instantanious on 12/21/12 at 11:11 when we have not lived through a megnetic pole shift before? how does anyone truly know?
This has always made me wonder since, when I originally heard about this… I heard a magnetic polar shift could take thousands of years to complete, and the effects would barely be noticable… with the acception that, once it’s done (after my time), compasses would point south rather than north.
As 2012 comes closer, everyone is saying a magnetic pole shift will be isntantanious and will cause the end of the world… but I can’t find scientific evidence to back it up.
So hopefully someone more science smart that I am, can explain this in laymans terms.
actually spiritual, I’m well versed in biblical revelation… and those who really, REALLY study revelation, have said there is no proof the white horse has yet come upon earth.
It is believed there will be a an antichrist upon the breaking of the first seal.. .who will come, and there will be a great religious leader who will pontificate for him. (many believe this could be the last pope, which we know to not be the current pope.)
By the 4th seal, the majority of humans on earth will have died from war, famine or mass/world wide proportions, or will have been martyred for being Christians. After all, the fourth horse is ridden by Death and Hades follows.
The cumulative number of deaths in the last 2000 years do not even make up 25% of the world’s humanity, which means we fall very short of what is prophesised by Christ, or in the book of revelations.
Jesus also said that no man will know the time of his return, not even he nor the angels yet know god’s plan.

What you first heard was correct. Every few hundred thousand years, the earth’s magnetic field flips; magnetic north becomes magnetic south and vice versa. The geographic poles do not change, the earth’s axis does not shift, and we don’t go hurtling off into oblivion.
While we haven’t observed one directly, paleomagnetic evidence indicates that a reversal occurs gradually over several thousand years (again, you heard it right the first time). Currently, the magnetic field is growing slowly but steadily weaker, suggesting that we may be in the early stages of a pole reversal event.
The effects of a pole reversal on us will probably be minimal. Since the earth’s magnetic field protects us from most solar and interstellar radiation, its weakening during a shift could temporarily increase the amount of radiation reaching the earth. However, these reversals have occurred many times in the past and are not associated with mass extinctions or disruption of any sort. Some infrastructure, especially the long-distance electrical grid, could be vulnerable, but there are technological solutions available to minimize the risk.
In short,,just about everything you’ve heard about pole reversal since you first learned the truth has been hysterical nonsense.

A magnetic pole shift, or geomagnetic reversal, is something that takes thousands of years to complete. There’s no reason to suppose that one is imminent. It may not start for thousands of years. The suggestion that it can take place on a particular date is pure nonsense, put about by a bunch of crackpots. During the thousands of years in which a geomagnetic reversal is taking place, the evidence points to the Earth’s magnetic field not disappearing but just becoming more complicated. Compasses may not work, but other particularly harmful effects are unlikely. There is no evidence to link mass extinctions with previous geomagnetic reversals

The climate change 2012, is predicted as far back to 3100 BC, Mayans wer not just an amazing mathmatically accurate form of time keepers, but! Knew of the planets within our solar system before the even being discovered modern day (ex. pluto 1930s etc). The Bibles ‘Book of Revelations’ (regardless of, &/or non religious belief) does explain alot to coincide with Mayan planetry knowledge & 2012 is basically a wobble in the axis of Earths orbit. This was logged/written by Mayans when it happened in 3100BC.
Most of you will already know, planets, comets, asteroids etc, continually follow an orbital path. The best example to give is, Hayleys Comet, we know that from the modern science following (most recently passed Earth 2004,) The Bayeux tapestry shows us, it also passed in 1066. The Planet to cross our path that has not done so, since 3100BC, is Nibiru. This is the cause of much prophetic concern, (much then, is to be based on what distortion of human imput to date & what the belief of your own culture/race/religion?) I have my own perceptions, that ill explain a little of in a moment, but to 1st highlight the most known beliefs in cirulation today- Scientologists believe the Aliens who brought us here are returning, Christianity 2cnd coming of Christ, Masonic/Lucifarians await Satan.
Science names Nibiru as planet X (reason? Science fears what ifs? scientists are human & have faths/beliefs as we all do & in truth, science is not anything more than, many intelligent theories with big words, (look at medicinal science, it claims at being advanced but to name just 1 disease cured? Medicine only ever merely treats symptoms of disease. Yet we assume its greatness. Faith in any form is enough to blur fact).
Interesting ‘facts’ to go seek your own ideas based on todays Science/Bible Prophetic connection are. 1. Hell – Rivers of Fire & that of Sulphar, is that of surface & surrounds of the Planet ‘Venus’. Mercury a metal & Planet (Lucifarin/Satanic ritual use connection. Modern medicinal science vaccines also, look up vaccines cause genetic mutation – with medicinal science the Alien abduction medicals are believed by many… (false? Or true? prehistoric cave paintings do imply truth)., to be the ancient genetic mix of Alien/Human race. (Do we have sciences missing link?)
FACT, The DNA of each human is made of 3 diferent matters (6 of each) To then quote- ‘Mark the # of the beast, he is man’. – Eden – Serpent is Satan, Medical symbol is the serpent in an 8 shape (the 8 is the genetic structure of man)
I could go on, but as the Bible says ‘Seek & You shall find’. I offer insight not enforce my belief- My belief? I see the Bible as many a prophecy distorted with time & culture translation. The Emerald Tablet was at least 2000BC yet with same naratives (ex Atlantis was washed away/Noahs Ark).
Genisis is the 1st book in the Bible. Instantly expresses a Planetary setting. To cut short my belief.. Lucifer defies God & devestates Mars (both Egypts & Mayans mathmatically precise pyrimad & sphynx replications on Earth. can even be googled to veiw Mars’ original build) i believe Satan is a ruler of medicinal science to be very twisted (the fact all disease is with onset of last century, modern medicine (has killed/damaged with continual rate & Biblical disease reference is in wiping out 1000s connection) 2012 is a planetary event i cannot predict but the prophetic ‘The meek shall inheirit come judgement day’ its my worthwhile belief. Judgement nor The End, is not easy as to be a day, nor is it a religious oppressive rule to condemn sinners. My thoughts are we all need to be decoding, for ourselves through logical thought & spiritual awareness of the self. -the mind is uniquely powerful, yet we allow others to ‘tell’, what we can, learn about ourselves, but we need to talk with others, learn with others but choose the end result, YOU! know whats right about any given theory, YOU know because you feel the truth. Its no easy discovery but learning for yourself will make you stronger in todays society, youl know political words to mean a new language, see through what has been historically & prophetically distorted by any, leaders that tell us what we, can/cannot believe,
