But a philosopher named Nostradamus did predict alot of stuff, such as the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. I do not remember if he predicted a date for the end of the world, but just to prepare, go watch The Day After Tomorrow. Something real rare. I think what you have to keep an eye out for is how it'll effect things on the electromagnetic scale. There's a lot of unstudied material involved, which is why a bunch of people are saying all sorts of things, but there will supposedly be a change of SOME sort. Electro magnetics affect a lot of things, even though we can't "see" it. Weather's one of them, our sense of direction, and even our biological clock (some would say our actual consciousness is effected... hell, it's how you can detect the presence of ghosts and stuff.. but I won't get into that). But yeah, I think like, the Earth's field is going to flip over (and that it's long overdue). Keep your eyes peeled, and feel free to read up on what people are saying on the internet.
