That was as high the Myans could count so they could not add any more days.

Technically the whole “”2012″” thing has already passed since some guy i dont remember who messed up the years a LONG LONG TIME AGO!! by 7 years so TECHNICALLY we are in 2017 and 2012 has passed and the world did not end
but yeah its a pretty scary thing

Don’t be scared! Y2K was a natural attraction for end of the world types and nothing happened. 2012 will come and go without a sneeze, and anyway – if the Mayan calendar was so great why didn’t it warn them that their world would end in about 1600?

Daily Planner calendars end on December 31, 2010. What if some people who use Daily Planners go crazy and try to make the world end themselves? No difference.

People thought the world was going to end when the year changed to 2000. It didn’t. Think we are all gonna be okay.

It is like new years…some stay up and party all night, and others just treat it as though it is just another day. Truth is, we won’t really know until the day after. I would not lose any sleep over it though. Make some good friends, and love your family. Everything is going to be OK.

How exactly are a few insane people going to make the world end? People do stupid crap everyday. It won’t be any different in 2012.

Don’t worry those people who will try to end the world always end up with some enept partner that screws everything up.
“So Brain what do you wanna do tonight?”
p.s. we have Jack Bauer on our side so fret not!

First thing is first, What can you do about it? seriously? Ok this is the most misquoted thing I have ever heard. The Maya calender does not state the world will end. Lets get that straight – the calender actually states there will be “great change to the world as we know it – it will never be the same again”. This has lead to the “end is near” people adding what they like (the last time they were out it was the computer crash of the turning of the year 2000). The maya peoples have got things wrong in their predictions – advice to you is don’t panic about it… look up online about the mayas and steer clear of populist, sensational articles and sites – try use about.com and sites like them. the change they talk about maybe something good for us… like ufos being real or we find a solution for the green question.

The Mayans never said that the world itself would end in 2012. The Mayans did not believe in an ‘end’. For the Maya, time was cyclic. December 21, 2012 marks the ‘end’ of an age; the ‘death’ of one cycle, and the ‘birth’ of another.

No, the Mayan calendar doesn’t “end”. No, there isn’t going to be a “great change” or “great shift in consciousness” Whatever the @#$ that means.
Crazy people are a part of the population now, so far they haven’t tried to do much more than start two wars in the Middle East.
Let’s try an experiment. Using only the power of your mind, attempt to turn off your computer. Waiting… waiting… waiting… okay, let’s say that is impossible. Now, using only crazy people, try to end the world…. waiting… waiting…

Most people get by without taking any notice of these crazies. You should do the same. Nothing ever comes of anything they say or do. Rather a sad and frustrating existence for them.

The Mayan calendar thing was based entirely on superstition and is now just a money making fraud. Everything the “prophets” say is for profit, it is either wrong or a deliberate lie. Mostly deliberate lies. One of the biggest liars is James Michael Sayer, who is such a liar that he does not actually exist. Most of the rest are liars, fools or both at once.

That is called self prophecy bc people did what they can to make it real bc the Mayans never predicted the end. That was created in modern times by white new agers exploiting the Mayan culture. More details in source.
