Critically examining the "End of the World"
Random Thoughts – End of the World – Part 5 of 5
A new little series of random videos that is basically stuff on my mind. Hence titled Random Thoughts. This one got kind of long. So unless you’ve got time to spare and want to get bored — i’d suggest a comfy chair. LOL.

Thank you! I really appreciate the positive feedback. I don’t put myself down so much as I think i’m quite conscious of peoples time. I don’t want to be that guy who sits there rambling on and on and on. But thank you, again, much appreciated feedback.

Dude, you’re always putting yourself down for rambling on too much. That wasn’t mindless shit, it was interesting, I actually listened for the whole hour. Nice job! you should be on the radio.

Thanks. I think we all think of this from time to time. Problem is we all end up shrugging our shoulders and just continuing on without doing anything about the thought.

Same here. Not religious anymore. But yeah, brings into perspective what our fate may be.

It makes perfect sense. I agree our advancement in the last 100 years has been staggering. We’ve evolved at a quicker pace in the last 100 years than in the last 2000 years. So who knows what we’re going to figure out soon.

Regards to your thoughts on technology in one of the earlier parts, i see technology being pretty advanced within the next 50 – 100 years as we’ve come pretty far in the last 25 years or so and now we have the technology to help us create more advanced technology if that made any sence LOL! =)

Great series mate, i really enjoyed them.
I often sit and think about why the hell were here and what’s our purpose? or do we even have a purpose?
I’m not a religious person as theres just not enough facts to back any religion up, but that just leaves me thinking that there’s nothing after death and thats pretty scarey thought.

Very interesting my friend, I think about this all the time.

I’ve heard that one as well. I don’t know that the ENTIRE bee population would die out. I don’t know what would cause that. A virus? Some other thing. Who knows. But that’s an immense amount of bees to die off.

Sorry, I don’t mean to come off as defensive. But I always wonder where people come up with these figures. And if your source is where I think it is, i’m not going to be happy.

Thanks, but where did you get your number from? 500 million people? That’s it? Are you aware of how many people would have to die for that to happen? 6 billion. SIX BILLION PEOPLE would have to die for that number to be relevant. But again, what i’m concerned about is where you got the number. I mean why not 300 million, or 10 million? I don’t get it.

I’m sorry but I feel a world population at 500,000,000 would be optimal. I feel to achieve these goals and get down to brass tax we cant keep plopping out 10 pizza hut juniors. We need 1strong leader per family. Overall I agree with you. Great videos.

Well I listened to all 5 and I thought you make some good points, we are gonna have to come a long way if we are to progress forward in space exploration and similiar stuff.
Going back to the things threatining our existence, one thing we are gonna be facing is the death of bees in the last few years, they pollinate pretty much all the worlds crops and Einstein believed that if the Bee population ever died out then the human species would die 3 years after the death of bees.

True. That’s one of the things that draws on my every neuron though. What we are here for. I know that very question must have been surmised an infinite number of times throughout the ages.

I don’t really do video responses, sorry.
Also my replies were not to be viewed as pessimistic,
For me its a search for the truth, and my conclusion from the information i have available leads me to believe there is no purpose to life, more just a self replicating sequence of DNA, that’s it.
But hell what do i know, we all struggle to give our lives meaning.

To each their own I guess. I’m trying to see the constructive, positive side of life. I’ve been very pessimistic in my time and it’s proven to be a very negative influence. So I’m trying to turn that around. But again, my vid was just ideas. Feel free to do a video response.

I think we will never find it, so its fruitless to search for it.
Just my opinion.
My point is that we need to find our purpose.
My point is that once your dead then thats it, the whole universe and its entire content will not matter.
Is it a selfish way of thinking about it? well i guess so but all we are is a bunch of chemicals, electricity and chemical reactions.
Once you die you turn back into simpler chemicals, thats it no meaning or purpose.

Because like all viruses, friend, that is what their ultimate purpose is. To spread. And like viruses, we Humans and by extension, all other life on this planet will spread among the cosmos. But that’s just my impression of what is to come. There are many, like yourself, who are perfectly okay with dying and the human race going extinct. Suffice it to say I am not one of them.
well I stuck with it until the end,
As for why are we here its pointless to think about it, in the end all that matters is that you have as much fun as possible until your times up.
As i said in the first video once your dead thats it,.
As for colonizing other planets in the future, i would ask why do we have to?
Why not be happy with having the human race go extinct.
Also does there have to be an ultimate purpose?
