Critically examining the "End of the World"
Shouldn’t Christians be the ones worried about what will happen to them in the 2012 Mayan Calendar prophecy?
The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.
Question:
Since Christians enslaved, killed, and forced their religion on the Mayans.
It is just another crazy prediction to me like all of the ones before it. However, I hear several Christian fundamentalists stating that this will be the end times. Even if it was the end times by some miracle, shouldn’t they be the ones worried about what will happen to them since they enslaved and killed the Mayans in the name of their god? They did this to the very people who created the calendar and worshiped different gods than them.
Sabe – LOL

That 2012 thing is crap. Maybe the Mayans just got effin tired of making a damn calender and stopped, lol.
“Eh, we’re not going to be around that long, let’s call it a day boys.”

I have no reason to worry about that.

well they obviously believe in their god strongly enough to do that to them, therefore if the world does end then they think they will be rewarded enternally in heaven….so i don’t think they are worried at all

Maybe we’ll get lucky. Some of the fundies will be so upset by it that they decide to commit suicide early in 2012 so they will miss the end of the world. Wouldn’t it be great?

god said the time he comes again it will be like a thief in the night…. knowing the world will end in 2012 doesnt seem like a thief in the night. its a load of bull crap. no one knows when god will send jesus down to earth again, not even jesus!. and btw why should i pay for the sins of christians thousands of years ago?

First of all, Christians did not “enslaved, killed, and forced their religion on the Mayans”. that is a big fat lie. It’s all hate propaganda invented by anti-Catholic bigots, (fundamentalists even you don’t like).
Second, Mayan experts have dismissed the sensationalist reports of the calender. It simply marks the end of a period of time and with a party, not the end of the world.
You should pick up a history book sometime.

Read Matthew 24:3-36 where Jesus tells of when “that day”, speaking of when He will return and Rapture the church, is known to His Father only. All other dates are false. He also states in Revelation 3:3 that He will “come upon you as a thief in the night”, meaning that there is not a single person that knows the day, hour , minute that our Savior will be here…be ready fellow Brothers and Sisters :}

Christians are too ignorant and dumb to recognize how stupid this whole 2012 end of the world thing is.
