2012, end of the world? There is said to be changes ? What kind of changes ?

The following is a question being asked on Yahoo Answers. Both the questions and answers given do not reflect the view of our website.
Question:
What sort of changes do people mean ? Will the world end ? Will lots of people die. What will happen if it does end ( I’ve heard lots of different things. Also some say some will live but I dont see how this can happen if the planet gets ucked into a black hole or hit by a meteorite ?
