Question:
I have seen SO MANY questions abou the end of the world in 2012…………thing is, this “fear” has been around forever….death – end of times (which honestly is not necessarily a bad thing) but I see fanatic Christians posting this and it is because of what Nostradaumus has stated — he is also supposedly a psychic — and CHRISTIANS are not supposed to listen to them AND the Bible does state (no, I am not a scholar) —- we are not to KNOW the end of time…..and again, I must repeat — people have feared the end of time since the beginning of time….so what exactly makes you SO SURE the world is going to end in 2012 — and if you think it is, do you really believe in God? I don’t think so. We are not “supposed” to “believe” in psychics are we???? Not by the Bible. I’m 49 and my brother (8 yrs older than me ) didn’t ever want to have kids because the world was supposed to end WAY BACK THEN TOO…go figure.

a christian believes in the tribulation, it’s 7 years. if the world ends in less than 4 years.that means we would ALREADY be in the tribulation, and we are not , so from a christian point of view the world cannot end in 2012.your thoughts?
Shouldn’t Christians be the ones worried about what will happen to them in the 2012 Mayan Calendar prophecy?

Since Christians enslaved, killed, and forced their religion on the Mayans.
It is just another crazy prediction to me like all of the ones before it. However, I hear several Christian fundamentalists stating that this will be the end times. Even if it was the end times by some miracle, shouldn’t they be the ones worried about what will happen to them since they enslaved and killed the Mayans in the name of their god? They did this to the very people who created the calendar and worshiped different gods than them.

It was never a Christan idea..i know most Christians do not believe that..But some do. how did these few Christians take something from the Mayans and their calender and make it into a “end of the world” ordeal…Frankly i am not Christian but i seriously get tired of seeing questions about the world ending in 2012..Just a question from those who actually believe this. and also others who do not believe in can voice their opinions

Christians: what do you think of world ending at 2012, or we being in the end times?

Question:
Upon googling 2012, or speaking with many people in life and across these boards, many are convinced, even non-Christians that something is going to happen in 2012. Many Christians also believe that we are currently living in the end times.
What do you guys think of all of this. First with the 2012 controversy, the ancient calendars and the mayan calendar ending in that year, and of all the “we are in the end times” fuss being caused among religious types?
I’m asking from a totally objective viewpoint, no biases or subjective imput from me. I don’t want to be attacked. lol.
But if you do believe in the world ending or that we’re in the end times, what are you doing to prepare, or how are you dealing with it? Are you scared? Are you happy? Are you moving to the country? Do you think a nuclear war will happen? Will our world economic system collapse?
IF you don’t believe in that, also state why,and if you DO believe in this,
what advice would you give your fellow humans?
Is the devil behind the powers and monetary systems that make this world run? Is the devil behind anything and everything that has power and influence?
Are godly or holy people in charge of anything other than the Church and have any worldly influence?
Are Christians allowed to have worldly infulence and influence over the monetary systems of the world?
