Question:
Yesterday, my history teacher told me that there is a theory that the world’s going to end at 2012, because that’s when the Mayan calender ends. Is that true, or is he just messing with me?

Question:
According to the mayan calender, the world is going to end because that is when the calender stops. Does anyone know any information about this? I have also heard the earth is going to change axis in 2012.
www.amazon.com 2012 isn’t the end of time, it is the beginning of a whole new reality. The more scholars study the writings of the ancient Mayans, the more they are convinced that 2012 was not prophesied to be the end of the world, but the moment which will herald a momentous shift in human consciousness. Exposing this ideal is what led me to write “The Aquarians,” an adventure tale that takes four unlikely characters on a journey of scientific and spiritual discovery. And since the publication of “The Aquarians,” the synchronicities just keep happening. The new wave of people – shamans, guides and earth-angels – coming into my life could only be described as pure magic. One of these is J. Walker, a …
With the devastating earthquake, and subsequent tsunami that affected Japan and other Pacific nations this weekend some people are claiming that this is a sign that the planet is doomed, the clock is ticking, and that on Dec 21, 2012 the world as we know it will end. Frankly, this is utter bullshit. That is [...]
It seems like everybody these days is talking about the earthquake in Japan, and with good reason. This was one of the largest earthquakes to be recorded in the area and its impact has been anything but minor. Not only was there damage from the initial seismic disturbance, but the following tsunami impacted coastal regions [...]
If you’re wondering why the “n” in Mayan is in parenthesis in the title, it’s because it should in fact be Maya, but media more typically uses the popular, but incorrect, “Mayan.” This is a relatively small mix up compared to all of the excitement about a supposed “Mayan Prophecy” for world shaking events of [...]
