Question:
Can anyone tell me some? I am neither sceptic or believer about 2012, but I want some validity to what I keep reading everywhere about the Mayans accurate predictions.
So can anyone tell me some of these?
Our Response
I’m not going to answer this on Yahoo its self, but if you too are curious about the answer to this, it’s simple. No, nobody can tell you any Maya(n) predictions that have come true. Why not? Because there weren’t even any predictions, let alone accurate, or inaccurate, predictions for that matter. The Maya(n) calendar is a complicated time keeping system, and the Long Form Count measures truly massive amounts of time (compared to say our contemporary Gregorian calendar) but it is not a prediction. The Maya(n) people did not make any predictions about “what might happen” when the current cycle ends. If anything is impressive, it is the ability the Maya(n) people had to determine when the equinoxes would occur with such precision.
The real problem with this question is that it is already presuming that the claims of “Maya(n) prophecies coming true” is in its self true. You can’t have people tell you prophecies that have come true when THERE ARE NO PROPHECIES AT ALL.
So, in short. There are no Maya(n) predictions that have come true to back up 2012 theory. There is nothing scientific, or even accurately historic, to “confirm” any of the crazy 2012 theories that are circulating today. – Carl
