Question:
I’ve heard many theories and rumors but where do these ideas come from?? I don’t know much about the bible and its prophecies but I’ve heard non christians and catholics mention things similar to the theories (not specifically 2012) but that around that time is a spiritual turnpoint for us. Any backup or proof or theories that show something massive IS going to happen??
MAYAN PROPHECIES PART 2 OF 3 Many people believe the Mayan calendar represents the end of the world by December 21, 2012 through a doomsday or apocalypse scenario. Other people will agree that these are the “end times” but also believe we may be witnessing the beginning of the “Golden Age” and the Age of Aquarius through a DNA upgrade. By 2012, some believe we will see a return of Planet X or Nibiru and are trying to figure out how to survive 2012. There are also people who believe nothing will happen by 2012. Who is right? The most accurate 2012 predictions come from ancient civilizations, such as the Mayan, Aztec, Hopi, Hindu and Egyptian calendars, and all agree on the Maya December 21, 2012 end date. On that day at 11:11 am, the earth will be in the exact alignment with the sun and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. This is a rare astrological event that occurs once every 26000 years. The earth will also undergo a Precession of the Equinoxes by this date. This event occurs only once every 26000 years. Is this a coincidence or synchronicity? What is your opinion of what will happen by 2012? Tell us on our 2012 Forum! Time is cyclic. There is an old saying, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” The Mayans were obsessed with time and placed great importance on the December 21, 2012 end date. The Mayan calendar is based on five cycles of time with each period lasting 5125 years. We are now at the end of one of these cycles. We are also at the end …
The End of the World is big business these days, and not just because of the year 2012. Movies, television, comic books, novels, essentially every type of media is cashing in on the apocalypse these days. Obviously a lot of this entertainment is pure fiction, fantasy meant to provide escapist relief in troubled times, but [...]
Doomsday prophecies are nothing new. Neither is a widespread desire to believe them. But in the end, they’re meaningless. The thing that most people fail to realize about “prophecy” is that it is ultimately open to interpretation. If an individual wants to believe a prophecy is true, whether as reinforcement for their religious world view, [...]
Much has been said about the events of 12-21-2012 and the perceived end of the long form Mayan calender. This has given light to many end of the world theories an predictions, but mostly from profiteers who want to take advantage of public fears. This doesn’t mean that we can not take a practical look [...]
