So everyone has there own opinion about the supposedly 2012 end of the world story. I personally dont know i havent gaven it much thought but considering global warming,earthquakes and the recent oil spills it could be possible to have the world end in 2012.

My oppinion: 2012 is not the end of the world. its even worse. it will be a polar shift and A-lot of people will die, but humanity is still alive therefore not the end of the world. its NOT armaggedon it is a series of mass extintion that will happen again and again and again. And humanity will begin al over again. we will forget all the knowledge we know today. computers, technology, physics etc. will be forgotten.
do you agree with me? does it make sense?
(my point is the signs of the end of the world that Christians, Muslims and Jews believe, will not occur right now because it is not the end of the world its the end of half the world. as it already happened with Moses and his ship)-by the way i’m a muslim, i’m not sure if ou believe the Moses story-i’m sorry.
Okay, BUT a polar shift has already happened and moses and his ship survived the heavy waters. who’s to say it wont happen again!

Why is it that so many people take it for fact when a source says there is no science behind the 2012 doomsday prediction but then when another source shows the scientific explanations, such as the pole shift that will occur, or the galactic alignments that will will occur, or the increase in solar activity and destructive weather that is already occuring, they totally ignore it?
The Mayans were not Jungle nuts they were very advance, even more advanced than we are in some respects, and this is a perfect question for the religion section if you believe there will be end times why not in your life time?

Some believe it will be the end of humanity, some believe nothing will happen at all.
Will the galactic alignment cause the magnetic poles to reverse or will the Earth spin of it’s axis? or will the galactic alignment’s effect even be noticeable? Just how significant is the end of the Mayan calendar and at that, how accurate is it? Is it only a coincidence that the Mayan calendar just happens to end during the same day such a strange alignment is scheduled to occur?
I’m interested in hearing what everybody here thinks will happen. Honestly, I’ve been a little bit freaked out about it lately.
