Alrighty then Space Fans, this is the first of my 2012 videos. Yes, I’m reading from a script, and I sound a little wooden, but I promise to work on that! Most of the fear and confusion surrounding this issue stems primarily from a lack of understanding and information. I’m going to take the approach and operate under the assumption that given the correct information, people will be a lot more calm about the end of the world. Why are people worried about the year 2012 when in fact almost all of the prophecies predict positive things?

Question:
It seems to me that the prophecies about 2012 actually predict good things to happen. They talk about great leaps and transformations for humankind.
So why all the fear and anxiety?
All the other stuff, like Peak Oil and Timewave Zero is just stuff that modern people have made up and convienently decided will happen in 2012.
There’s really nothing to worry about.
And the whole idea of a planet on a collision course with Earth was totally discredited years ago.
Is anyone else slightly worried about the Large Hadron Collider Switching on?

All right, so I’ve been reading up on this Large Hadron Collider deal, and I’m not so sure I like the implications. Apparently, the scientists CONDUCTING the experiment aren’t even sure what the thing does. When it is finally switched on, which I’ve heard will be anywhere from November 26, 2007 to May 2008, it will either, prove the big bang theory, by producing in layman’s terms a little universe all it’s own out of nothing, OR, it could create a black hole, or dimensional rift. Does anyone else think that this is a particularly BAD idea? Anyway, just something going through my head. You can look up the info on Wiki if you’re unaware of this subject.

Shouldn’t Christians be the ones worried about what will happen to them in the 2012 Mayan Calendar prophecy?

Since Christians enslaved, killed, and forced their religion on the Mayans.
It is just another crazy prediction to me like all of the ones before it. However, I hear several Christian fundamentalists stating that this will be the end times. Even if it was the end times by some miracle, shouldn’t they be the ones worried about what will happen to them since they enslaved and killed the Mayans in the name of their god? They did this to the very people who created the calendar and worshiped different gods than them.
