ok, if any of you are religious, i'll let you know that the bible says that AFTER the rapture comes for god's people that the anti-christ will arise and there will be 7 years of peace and happiness then 7 years of hell and tribulation, so god's people haven't disappeared. Everybody is still here. So i believe that Jesus died for us and will come back for us like he has promised to do to take us with him before any hell goes down, so the 2012 thing can't possibly be because we'll be gone for 7 years before hell comes down on the earth. So if you believe in what i do than you'll be safe, look online at NASA disproving the 2012 theory.

No, No, No, NO!

All can be disproved with a basic understanding of each crazy theory. I can go into a tirade on how idiotic each one is, but...

The Mayan Calendar ends yes, but so many others have in the past (1994, 2000, 2003, etc.) Plus it is part, not all, part of the Mayan calendar.

Planet X has been disproved numerous times, and with the recent discovery of the two new Planets beyond Pluto, it's even harder to believe. Plus the Man who started the theory (Sitchin) completely mistranslated every word he read that he started the basis of the Planet X theory on. (See the link below it will prove the theory wrong by decimating the basis of the ideal.)

Bible Code? Nonsense, complete nonsense.

I have never heard the Olduvai theory, but honestly, I don't care. I've heard so many things I grew tired of the gullible people who believe everything their told by watching the History Channel. Look around the internet and you'll find plenty more theories on this "momentous" year everyone is hyped about.

One more thing, once a theory starts, people add on to it, and as it circulates through the veins of the internet it grows more and more popular, and more far fetched. Don’t believe these people, because it is all mumbo jumbo.

I don't really understand where all the fear is coming from. The Mayans Calendar, which is not predicting the end of the world in 2012, but the start of a new era on December 21st, 2012. The year 2012 marks the end of the "Great Cycle." When it came to mathematics, time and calendars, the Maya were geniuses. Believing that time repeated itself in cycles.

Many ancient civilization had predicted apocalypse over thousands of years, from the Book of I Ching to Nostradamus, and the Native Indians to even the Holy Bible all predicted that the world will come to an end. However, we as humankind are still around today waiting for that "doomsday" to happen. All predictions are open for different interpretations, and every few years some lunatic is going to flip through some old pre-historic predictions and exaggerate it based on his/her own interpretations. Once your mind starts to persuade you into thinking that apocalypse is going to happen, you would honestly start to believe that it is really coming.

Lets say that the 2012 theory is true and the world will come to an end that year- nothing we can do anyway! No point in worring.

But I seriously doubt that 2012 stuff, and if it is true, then so be it. The world will be dreading that day, and on it our stomaches will all be churning with fear. Then the next day will pass and we'll hear another "end of the world" theory.

Hi,

No, see you all after a great New Year's party in 2013!
After the year passes with no cataclysm, the end will be pushed ahead to a later date once again with the usual litany of excuses.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly
